Basic Bible Doctrine, Part 2How To Study The Bible FOREWORD Because of the nature of these topics and the amount of material contained in each lesson, many teachers have found that two class sessions are required to properly cover the material. Each lesson develops the central theme of its title, but the outlines are organized so that each major sub-section is a self-contained thought. Therefore teachers may develop the central theme in either one or two sessions and maintain a complete thought either way. This booklet is set forth by the writer with the desire that all believers will come to the unity of the faith (Eph. 4:3-7). An effort has been made to represent the first principles of Christianity in a positive format. Although the religious world is filled with conflicting doctrines, we have not tried specifically to identify errors and expose their inconsistencies. Instead we have tried to "give answer to every man that asketh you a reason concerning the hope that isin you" (I Peter 3:15). However, when presenting the positive truths of the Bible, one cannot help but defend them by making some contrasts with doctrines that differ. It is our prayer that all who study this booklet will do so with an open Bible and an open mind. Robert Harkrider BASIC BIBLE DOCTRINE
